Manufacturing has begun!

Hello amazing backers!
Yesterday we wired a large sum of money to our factory to begin manufacturing and we have confirmation that it has begun! Apparently the dice take the longest to manufacture so that is where they will start, but the ball is rolling and we are very excited.
Some questions and answers:
We have gotten a decent amount of questions on different topics and figured we could share them with the group!
Q: Can I still change my address?
A: The window for doing so is rapidly changing. If you are at all unsure of where you will be between now and the end of the year we recommend you contact us at [email protected] and we can open up your pledge for an address change. If you don't know where you will be exactly we recommend getting us the address of a family member or friend that won't be moving any time soon.
Q: What about the Print and Play?
A: That is going to be coming very soon to those of you who purchased it as an add-on. We of course wanted to make sure that the print and play was the exact same version that is being manufactured. Now that we have everything kicked off to manufacturing we will be assembling the print and play and send that out.
Q: How is the timeline? Any Delays?
A: We are a little tight on our initial timeline. We initially figured end of July, or beginning of August and if all goes perfectly (haha, as if...) then we will hit that window perfectly. We all know however that the world is in shambles and we should prepare now for a month or two past that. We are doing our best to foresee these problems and head them off.
Q: What's Next?
A: Come join us on Kickstarter to play test the game codenamed "Stones". This will be a print and play only game to support those gamers that live in areas where shipping is prohibitively expensive. Hello Everyone!
First of all, thank you so much for requesting an update! We appreciate open communication and it is good to know that you still think about the game after it is out of sight! We do have some VERY exciting things to show you...but it will likely come a little later this week. For now, let me show you what we have.
Sample!
We got the sample from the factory (it took a little longer because of shipping issues (I know, that doesn't bode well, but we are working to try and make sure it doesn't happen for actual fulfillment)) and we are very pleased with how things turned out! There are a couple things we are going to change based on what we have seen but I would say that it is 90% there!
In this one you can see that there are a couple issues with being able to pull out the cards. The finger slots don't go all the way to the bottom and as a result you can't get to the bottom of the stack of cards. We are going to get this fixed.
We were ecstatic about the dice. They are weighty, large, and they have a really nice bounce to them on the table. We think we will probably change the ink color of the location dice as it kind of gets lost. We were thinking a pale orange...any thoughts?
There also wasn't a good place to put the baby monster tokens. So we think they will be housed beneath the cards as shown here.
So far we have been very happy with our manufacturer and we hope that it continues to be a good situation. We are grateful for all of you and your patience. It was so fun to have the sample arrive and be able to see all of this in person! Thank you again and the next update will probably contain our official how to play video as well as some better beauty shots of the sample!

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to drop in and tell you all a little about what is going on here at Backfire games and specifically with Snack Time!
The factory is putting together our physical sample and we should have pictures of that to show in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed).
We have been talking with distributors in Europe which is very exciting, and we hope to have a relationship in place that makes fulfillment to Europe cheaper for our backers in the future!

5 Days 'Till Pledge Manager Closes!

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to drop a quick line to tell you that the pledge manager will be officially closed in 5 days and anybody who has not filled out their survey will forfeit their rewards.
In other news, we have kicked off the mold creation for the dice as well as ordered the production sample, so there should be some pretty fun pictures of that coming in the near future!

Hello Backers!
First Things First, SUBMIT YOUR SURVEY! I can't stress this enough. We have a good number of people that are going to lose their copy of the game. Please finish your surveys as they will be locked in 13 days! (see bottom of this update for instructions)
We are very excited with the progress that is happening with Snack Time! If you are interested in previewing the rules as they are and maybe offering some last minute suggestions, you are welcome to go to this link to view their current progress. While some of the visuals will most likely update in small ways, the bulk of the rules are complete.
90% finished; only lacking some legal lines and some final tweaks to the colors. They may show up differently on your screen than in print (actually they are almost guaranteed to be a bit different).

Deadline for Surveys
it's coming up in 13 days. At that point we will lock in the quantity of units we will be manufacturing and won't be able to take orders or change shipping addresses, etc. If you have not confirmed your shipping address before this date and finished your pledge then your copy of the game will be donated to a local Game Cafe, School, or Library. If you aren't sure about the status of your survey please visit this link and type in your address to view your pledge and double check everything.

Manufacturing:
We all know that things are a bit unknown when it comes to manufacturing and shipping right now, but We were able to secure a spot at the factory and they are assuring us that we will be able to start manufacturing the second half of March which puts us pretty much right on schedule!
